Another weekend drive

Grief is such a weird thing, one day you can’t get out of bed. Not necessarily because you’re down and crying but because you just don’t have it in you.

Sometimes it’s OK if the only thing you did today was breathe.

This was my weekend. Not only grieving Blake, but also looking ahead at decisions I will have to make this upcoming week. Saturday was hard, Pepper, my fur baby was not feeling her best and it put in the forefront that her cancer has really taken over. So today I decided one more trip with her. We drove to Petit Jean Mountain State Park. Our colors this year are a little lackluster, we are in a drought. But the views are still beautiful. It brings a little peace to a broken heart 💔 So, even on days that seem impossible, get out and explore God’s creation, it does a broken heart good!
